Demonstrated Interest
Written by Lisa Bleich
Demonstrated interest can be an important element for colleges when trying to determine which applicants are the most likely to attend their schools if admitted. There are many ways to demonstrate interest such as visiting a college, attending a college fair, meeting with the college rep at your high school, scheduling an alumni interview if available, liking the college’s Facebook page or following the school on Twitter.
On the Common Application, you can show them just how much you have demonstrated interest in the Contact section in the My Colleges section.
You have up to ten ways to show how you’ve demonstrated interest. So be sure to add as many ways as you have learned about the school in this section as are relevant.
