Testimonials:

Thank you so much for meeting with us today. It was so nice meeting you, and your help was invaluable. You did such a great job of listening to my daughter and it was such a comfort to her to get real answers and advice from an expert. I think the discussion and resulting plan have already helped alleviate her anxiety. At this point she is uncertain what she wants to study and what schools she should be considering, and it all seems overwhelming. It helped immensely to at least put some certainty around a short-term plan forward in terms of her coursework and extracurriculars. Baby steps 👍😊 Your organized, calm, caring approach is just what she needs. Thank you so much!

SOPHOMORE PARENT

Lisa is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the whole college process. This is our second time using her and the CBM team. After leaving our College list meeting I was pleasantly surprised how engaged and positive my son seemed about working towards some of the goals outlined for him as he finishes Jr. year. Highly recommend.

PARENT OF BC STUDENT AND CURRENT JUNIOR

Abby was thorough, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Outstanding! Looking forward to working with Abby.

SOPHOMORE PARENT

Incredible, practical, real-time thoughtful coaching for my son from Lisa Bleich on his next steps, college and geographic plans.

PARENT OF TRANSFER STUDENT

My younger son just finished his initial consultation with Abby. She worked with his brother starting his freshman year as well, all the way through his final college selection. There was so much stress removed from our parent/child relationship as she was the one guiding him in high school class selection, encouraging him to challenge himself with AP classes, setting realistic expectations for admissions and the need for extracurriculars and volunteer work, helping him find colleges that matched his personality and academic interest, working with him on his essays, and managing the application requirements and deadlines. I felt like I could step back and just be his emotional support and cheerleader throughout the stressful process. Abby is bright, funny, knows her stuff, and best of all connects well with her students. My son developed a sincere fondness for her and our entire family benefitted from her involvement and expertise. Thanks Abby!

PARENT OF UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA ENGINEERING STUDENT AND CURRENT SOPHOMORE

Lisa is the absolute best. As a parent, I always feel relieved after seeing her, my anxiety about this process goes away, bc I feel like I have an expert in my corner. For my son, he always leaves excited and motivated. And who thought those would be adjectives used during the college process. Thank you Lisa sooooo much.

PARENT OF PENN STATE STUDENT AND CURRENT JUNIOR

We hope this finds you well! Joe and I wanted to thank you for your work with Vittoria. She had some great choices, and even more, she learned much about herself along the way that will serve her well. We hope you have some respite in your future!  Again, we are so grateful.

PARENT OF DUKE STUDENT

We all couldn’t have been more  excited when watching our son open that email last night!!

He is over the moon, and so are we! We are so grateful for all of the support and guidance you gave him (and us!). Can’t thank you enough for all of your help!! You totally called every move as we navigated uncertain Covid college times and how to go forward with the right choices.

PARENT OF ELON STUDENT

Thank you (twice now!) We did well! Your combination of advisor, editor, counselor and therapist made a massive difference for our daughter. She was on the fence about “needing” a counselor last summer. A few weeks ago she apologized to me for pushing back and said thank you for connecting me to Abby. That’s as good a testimonial as you can get from a 17 year old.

PARENT OF TUFTS STUDENT AND NEW SCHOOL STUDENT

My wife and I are still amazed how you spoke with her for an hour and said you thought a good “fit” school for her would be Duke, then went we visited 14 schools and researched them, she did like Duke the most (then Vandy, then Georgetown), and then it ended up being the best school she was accepted at.  You nailed it. We also credit you with providing our daughter with achievements at the state level and greatly reducing conflict in our family due to your suggestion to get her back into music class at her school.   You get all the credit for it because that change absolutely wouldn’t have happened without your intervention and suggestion.  Sometimes some small tweaks can yield big effects. THANKS!

Ms. Bleich, Thank you for all of your help through my high school career.  You motivated me to be the best student and person that I could be at all times.  Your support allowed me to succeed.

HOBART AND WILLIAM SMITH STUDENT

Stefanie, Thank you for all the help with Brandon. You gave him encouragement and confidence. I’m so glad we invested in you! You’ve been amazing!!

We are finally over the hill and both girls will be heading to their dream schools this fall! Just wanted to thank you again for all of your help to manage the process and remove some of the stress. It was truly a pleasure working with you and your team and we are so grateful for the support. Happy to serve as a reference for any future clients if helpful.

PARENT OF CORNELL AND UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN STUDENTS

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all of your help.  We were discussing how lucky we felt with her acceptance to UVM nursing and getting into her top choice. I know that is due, in part, to you and your team. We haven’t had many things go as planned these past few years but putting Olivia’s process into your hands was the absolute best, right choice. She is exactly where she wants to be and I am so proud.

PARENT OF UNIVERSITY OF VERMONT STUDENT

I wanted to let you know that Andy was accepted to Duke last night. Thank you to you and your group of essay specialists too. Thank you all for the guidance and support that you gave to all three of my sons.

Hi Lisa and Debbie, I’m in Ann Arbor right now and absolutely loved the campus so I just officially committed to Michigan!! Thank you so much for all the help!.  I absolutely love it here.

WASHU STUDENT

Just want to let you know I got into WashU!!!! Thanks so much for all your help in this process! We know Jakob reached out yesterday with the great news about his acceptance at Wash U! Just wanted to thank you & your team for all of your help & guidance throughout this entire process. We couldn’t have gotten through this without all of your expertise, we are very grateful!

WASHU PARENTS

We are celebrating Miriam’s WashU acceptance and can’t thank you enough for all of your guidance and support.  You are the master (or “the captain” as we call you … :).  We are so appreciative of you and your team!

WASHU STUDENT

“I cannot say enough about the wonderful help we received from College Bound Mentor.  Lisa and her team have seen so many teenagers and studied so many schools that they were able to quickly understand my daughter and help her assemble a plan for the college application season that supported the direction and type of school that my daughter wanted.  Lisa is the perfect person to serve as a third-party between parents and their college-bound child to take the family relationship “baggage” out of the situation and get things laser-focused on what makes sense and what needs to happen.  We are very grateful.”

PARENT OF JUNIOR

Hi Lisa,

I wanted to let you know that we’re very pleased with Anna’s college application process and the quality of her essays. I know she has had a lot with the common app, UC app. and UK as well.  She has a good rapport with Colleen too. Thank you so much for everything Rebecca, we did it!!!!!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better team to send these applications out. I’m so proud!!!!

Stefanie, We are so thrilled with Miriam’s WashU acceptance and know how closely you worked with her these past many months to guide her.  Thank you!  We joked the only downside is that she doesn’t get a chance to finish all those other essays with you!

PARENT OF WASHU STUDENT

Hi Ms. Forman, I just wanted to thank you again for all the help you gave me in the process. Your help was likely invaluable in helping me get these acceptances, and I’d like to tell you how grateful I am for your advice and feedback.

SENIOR (STILL UNDECIDED)

Lisa, after months of hard work and procrastination, I have finally decided where I am going to school. I am committed to the University of Wisconsin-Madison! I want to thank you so so much for all of your help and hard work during this gloriously difficult time in my life. I cannot tell you how much your work helped me. I will keep you updated if I have questions about anything else college related. Again, thank you so much!

UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN STUDENT

“I don’t normally write reviews, but I highly recommend Abby and Debbie. They were extraordinary throughout the college application process, and we had used other college advisory services in the past with our other children, so we have a good frame of reference from which to compare.  They worked incredibly well with us and our son in all parts of the process, from helping think about potential college options to assisting with the applications and essays and even a college interview.  Their experience and thoughtfulness was evident and their responsiveness throughout was greatly appreciated.  We also recommended Abby to a close friend, and they, too, had a tremendous experience.  And fortunately, both our son and his friend were accepted ED, so a happy ending!

DARMOUTH PARENT

Lisa, Thanks again for all your help with the boys.  They are both very happy and aligned with schools that seem like good fits for them – which in the end is what matters.

PENN AND WASHU PARENT

Lisa and Jennifer, Thank you both so much! This was a big milestone for her. Really, one of her top two schools. I’m so happy for her. And so grateful to you both for making this such a good process for her and for our family.

Hi Abby, Leo is absolutely thrilled that he was accepted at Cornell! We were incredibly nervous these last few weeks but are relieved that he will be attending such a wonderful school in the fall. It really is a perfect fit for him. We are so grateful for all your help in getting Leo into Cornell. Your knowledge of the process and advice to Leo on how to present himself in the application were invaluable. He enjoyed working with you and with Debbie and felt both supported and reassured by your guidance. We will definitely pass on your name to friends with students who will be applying to colleges in the future.

CORNELL PARENT

Richa received acceptance by Vanderbilt yesterday. She is very excited! We really appreciate your help in the application process, it certainly did help!

DARTMOUTH STUDENT

What a great night last night! Lexi is so happy, and we are so happy for her and so proud of her. Thank you so much, Lisa, for all your help and expertise and responsiveness. You did so much to facilitate the application process and walk Lexi through this. We stayed as hands off as possible and really appreciated all your help and support.

VANDERBILT PARENT

I just wanted to thank you so much for all of your help.  We are so happy and proud of Ryan .  He could not have done this without you.

WASHU PARENT

I GOT IN!!!! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!!

VANDERBILT STUDENT

I worked directly with Lisa Bleich and her assistance was outstanding. She gave me direction and insight that transformed my essays and completely improved my application. Without her guidance, I would not have been accepted into NYU. Even after I got accepted, Lisa still extended advice and a helping hand. Her advice is worth all the money. I highly recommend working with Lisa and her team!

NYU TRANSFER STUDENT

Jaclyn got in! Thank you so much for all your help!  You and your team are amazing! She is thrilled.

BC MOM

I have 3 teenagers attending their top choice schools, and it wouldn’t have all happened without the help of Abby Power of College Bound Mentor. Are you wondering if you need an outside college counselor? I’ll share my perspective. My kids attended two different high schools: one, a small progressive high school with an established, hands-on college counseling team and, the second, a large Catholic high school with a college counseling office to provide guidance. Regardless of the quality of the school’s counseling office, the counselors aren’t cataloging experiences and what brings them joy/a sense of purpose to flush out a direction for a distinctive essay. They may not go super deep into these experiences to find hidden nuggets of accomplishments to help your student showcase their activity list in the most compelling way. Abby not only does this, but her funny, super-cool, direct, and real demeanor also kicks your kid into gear as needed to fill a void that she knows will matter. Abby knows what admissions departments are looking for–school by school–and before you know it, she knows your kid and what may be the right match. Abby quickly strips out what’s not necessary and not worth the stress and focuses you and your child on what matters most. She does it all with a genuine love for what’s right for your child with a level of authenticity that is so needed in this crazy process. If you’re a parent looking for a partner in all this, I can’t recommend Abby enough.

Thank you so much for your help. I really owe you an arm and a leg for everything you’ve done. And I don’t think my journey into college would’ve been the same. Thank you for providing your service and your support, especially with my college essay and having all the inside details with WashU. 😊 I think it was luck that I was able to have you as a mentor and have both your daughters go to WashU as well. Thank you again for everything!!

WASHU STUDENT

When my daughter, the youngest of three, and I had our initial conference call with Lisa, we had no idea what my daughter wanted to study or where she wanted to go to College.  The zoom conference calls and direct interaction between Lisa and our daughter has resulted in the happiest 18 year who found her “true” calling and will be studying Fashion/Design in NYC in Fall of 2020. We are ecstatic and blessed that we found Lisa of College Bound Mentor. Thank you.

PARSONS PARENT

I wanted to let you know that my Barnard admissions officer called me and offered me a spot in their class of 2024! I want to thank you for all your help with my admissions process, it really means a lot.

I know Shivani sent you a note that she got accepted into Barnard and she has already committed there as well.  She is very happy and we are too. I want to express my sincere gratitude and thanks for your guidance throughout this whole process. She could not have done it without that.

BARNARD PARENT

I know Andrea has been in contact with you. With her, life is full of challenges. She is such a hard working girl, but nothing is given to her in an easy way. This week has been amazing for her and her self-esteem. She got into schools that she thought were going to be tough to get into. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING BY HER SIDE ALL THIS TIME. You were her confidante and her to go person when she felt anxious. Thank you for being part of my girls lives in this difficult and challenging college application times. You help them to reach their college dream, you gave them smart guidance and serenity when they needed the most.   THANK YOU! THANK YOU! All best,

GEORGETOWN PARENT

Now that the excitement has died down (just the tiniest bit, we are still pretty darned excited!) I wanted to thank you for your continued help and professionalism in working with Simon kids. Oliver always felt that he had it under control and I attribute that confidence and management of his stress to you. I certainly wasn’t helping! In all seriousness though, knowing you were on “Team Oliver” truly allowed Mark and me to sit back and let this be his process as much as possible.  Thank you! I am too excited and just wanted to tell you that last night he was officially accepted to Bowdoin!! He is beyond thrilled! Between you and Will – the whole college process was honestly easy and effortless.  He is very single minded and goal oriented – you provided a perfect amount of guidance and support. Thanks again for your help with this. We couldn’t be happier for her and she is so excited to go to Tulane.  Just wanted to say thanks for all of the hours of advice, support and task mastering that you gave to Maeve throughout the college application process. She raves about your help – and I do too. We are so appreciative. You made the process much easier and Maeve responded so well to your direct, helpful and smart perspective. I just wanted to say thank you so much for the help, advice, and support you gave me throughout this process. I am incredibly happy and grateful for the result.  I am emailing to share some great news. First, I got into Fordham with their Dean’s Scholarship ($20,000  a year). Hi Lisa,

I wanted to thank you for all the help you’ve given me. I’ve always been at an awe at those like you who lend a hand to others without expecting anything in return. Your help played a big hand in my acceptance and full-ride scholarship to LMU, for that I’m eternally grateful. Thank you for taking time out of your busy days to help me, especially on the days where I wrote my essays last minute 😭 I couldn’t be more thankful for all your help. All the best,

LOYOLA MARYMOUNT UNIVERSITY HONORS/SCHOLARSHIP STUDENT

Hi Lisa,

Sorry for the long, overdue thank you for helping our son through the college application process. Needless to say, the outcome for him was excellent and he is excited to attend CMU and to be swimming on their team next fall.  We know that you two played a critical role in many ways, but most importantly helping him unpack and clarify his personal positioning early on and then coaching him to reflect this in the numerous essays and application documents produced over the past 9 months.  As parents we are proud of his many accomplishments and appreciate you helping to put these in the best possible light.  His applications were compelling in a very competitive environment.  Your expertise, feedback and project management guidance made a big difference. So thank you both for your patience and support as we know you have a lot of students and feel we had the best of the best working with our son.

CARNEGIE MELLON PARENTS

Dear Lisa,

Just realized that we never took the time to thank you for all the work you’ve done with our daughter over the past couple of years. The support you’ve given her has been invaluable. We are obviously happy for her and proud of her achievements, but I must say that having someone besides her parents to keep her on track and advise her has been the best part of it. It definitely preserved our relationship with her during those precious last years having her at home.  We’ll definitely be in touch very soon as her brother will be a Sophomore in the Fall, and we’d like to start the process then as we did for our daughter.

COLUMBIA/SCIENCES PO PARENT

After this spring break and visiting Wisconsin, I have decided to become a Badger! Thank you for the help through the admissions process!

UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN STUDENT

The entire college process is daunting even for the best student, but from the get go Lisa and her team helped my daughter manage the stress by not merely helping her consistently meet internal deadlines and complete necessary tasks, but also by really getting to know her. With Lisa’s talent, skill set and dedication coupled with Debbie’s brilliance at editing and devotion to her clients, my daughter put forth her best application. Lisa and Debbie knew precisely how to teach my daughter to tell her story in the most compelling manner. There is no doubt, my daughter was accepted early decision to her dream school because of them! Opening up that acceptance email and watching my daughter’s face as she realized her dream was a priceless moment for my husband and me. Kudos and much thanks to College Bound Mentor!

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND STUDENT

Your observations of Nikki’s strengths  and recommendations on potential good fits for her were spot on.  The relationship you built with her was of great comfort to us. Her ability to reach out to you without hesitation and fear of being judged  was very comforting. I’m especially thankful to you for your prompt  email responses to our doubts and guidance on course selections. Your brainstorming sessions on the common app essay to come up with a touching story is one of key reasons for success. The essay reviews and guidance were excellent. We are grateful for your guidance and will be thankful to you forever.

DUKE PARENTS

“Abby helped work with me in an individualized way and got to know me as a person, not just another applicant. She was extremely helpful and worked collaboratively with me, guiding me to the ideal school. I would recommend anyone applying to college to Abby, as she is kind, helpful and dedicated”

NYU STUDENT

“Abby from College Bound Mentor provided an amazing service not only for our son, but also for us as parents navigating through this process for the first time.  She was as patient with us as she was helpful to our son.  We have two more children to get into college, and we’re hoping Abby will be there for them as well.”

NYU PARENT

Lisa is very insightful and immediately saw my children’s strengths after our first meeting and how best to present their “story” in their applications. She had great advice on how to further develop and strengthen their “story” during Junior year. She spent a lot of time with both our children brainstorming ideas for essays, as well as editing their essays. She knows what the admissions officers are looking for in the essays and had great suggestions on how to improve the essays so that the reader could really understand and get to know my children through their essays.

MIT/CAL TECH PARENT

Hi Lisa! Wanted to send you a quick note to thank you again for all you did to help Samantha navigate through her college process. She gained so much confidence while working with you and reached for her dream school.  Wow. WASH U!!!! We are just so unbelievably proud of her!

The more I think about it, the more I want to be there.  I actually wasn’t expecting to hear anything from them until March 12th, so I was totally taken by surprise when I got the email today (I admit to already setting up room surf, and painting my nails blue and yellow).  But I am still waiting to hear from Michigan, Northwestern, Penn, and WashU.  I am planning on spending a night at Delaware with one of my friend’s friends.  Also, depending on Michigan and Northwestern, I am planning to visit and stay the night also. I am ecstatic and feel so relieved after all of that hard work and waiting. But you helped me get there and I am forever grateful! I also got into SMU, Tulane, GW, Chapman, USC, and BC! A very successful process.

Just a quick note to let you know that Jack got accepted to RIT! We want to sincerely thank you for all the superb coaching you have given us.  It is truly appreciated!

Lisa, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I’m so excited I can hardly contain myself. Couldn’t have made it through the process without your help!

Hi Mrs. Cassie! I was just sitting here waiting for my next class to start thinking about how much I love it here at UD and I realized that I have you to thank for giving me one of the best years of my life! I am so thankful for all of your help last year during the rough college application process. You were always there for me, helping me out and dealing with me. I will always remember that one day that you told me that you woke up in the middle of the night thinking about an idea you had for a college essay for me. I thought that it was so amazing that you were so dedicated to helping me get what I really wanted and I appreciate that so much. In the beginning school was very scary, I definitely was not expecting that. First semester was a little rough because of trying to find friends and dealing with some homesickness but after a long UD 2 month break I switched dorm rooms and now I am having the best time at school. I am so upset that I have to leave in a month and thinking about it makes me want to cry a little. I joined a sorority (Gamma Phi Beta) and I am loving every minute of it! The girls are so amazing and I have found amazing friends through it. During the fall semester I played on a soccer intramural team and I have joined another one this semester, I even joined a volleyball team which should be interesting because I cannot play volleyball to save my life. Also, I remember how nervous I was about declaring a Fashion Merchandising major last year but I am obsessed with it now. UD has such a great program and when I leave class I fall in love with it all over again. My dream is to do an internship abroad in Hong Kong when I am a junior which is offered here at UD. Thank you again for all of your help, I owe it all to you! If you are advising anyone that is going to UD next year or thinking about it you can have them contact me. I would LOVE to talk to them about how amazing it is here and give them any advice they need!

I just wanted to thank you for helping us with yet another successful college application process.  As it was the case with our son, your involvement was instrumental in our daughter achieving her goal. We are elated with her choice.

Hey Lisa,

I just wanted to let you know I got into GW!!! Thank you so much for your help, I couldn’t have done it without you!

GEORGE WASHINGTON STUDENT

I just wanted to let you know that I got into BC. Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate everything you’ve done for me.

BOSTON COLLEGE STUDENT

I have officially committed to Harvard! Thank you so much for everything that you have done for me. Your support and advice were so integral during the past three years, and I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to meet you. Truly you have changed my life and my future. Without you, I know that I would never be in this position. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would be accepted to and eventually go to Harvard. Yet, you believed in me, and for that I am so thankful.

HARVARD STUDENT

Thank you so much for everything! You’ve helped me so much this past year and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without your guidance. You are the best money I ever spent 🙂

AMERICAN UNIVERSITY STUDENT

Thanks very much for a very helpful and productive meeting on Sunday. I’m feeling pretty optimistic and confident about Helen’s future; I’m not sure where she will end up, but I think she will find a good fit. And we would be lost without your help!

UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER STUDENT

I just got a call from Georgetown (even before I got the letter)… I got in!! Thank you so so so much for everything!

GEORGETOWN STUDENT

I just wanted to thank you so much for everything so far. As parents, we always write to you to ask about our children’s college app process and never seem to find the time to show how much we appreciate all of your hard work. So, today, for a change, I’ll do just that and not ask you anything 🙂

I can’t express the transformation Tuvana has gone throughout the college app process. When she met you as a sophomore, she was a girl who was doing everything because her mom was pushing her. Today, I see a mature young woman who’s taking charge for her own future. I’m tracking her progress with her essays, and apparently, she’s working on them. She’s finished with her college tours and during the tours, she asked questions to the staff and ambassadors.

This is all because of you and the way you led her to be her best self. She now believes in herself and has high expectations from her future.

Thanks to you, I’m not the nervous wreck mom that you met 2 years ago. I’m rest assured that my daughter is in good hands… I don’t know how we would have survived this daunting process without you… Thanks a million for all of this… I just wanted to let you know how appreciative we all are of your hard work for the success of our children…

Hi Abby,

And you were worried that you might not be a good fit for my son … HA!!! You are nothing short of a genie, giving ME one wish. “I wish that for once, he finishes his writing assignments and turns them in on time.” BAM! Thank you for giving me my wish, AND a day early.  I AM VERY HAPPY. Great work with a very, very tough student. Thank you, Abby.

BUTLER PARENT

We are so happy and thrilled for her! Thank you so so much for all your help and support! It was such a huge help to have you on our side helping us navigate through this college application maze!

HAMILTON COLLEGE PARENT

Hi Lisa,

I’m in total shock but I am so so so excited! I didn’t think I would get in so I waited to check the applicant portal until midnight. I’m so thrilled and I love BU so much! My mom is so happy! Thank you so much in this process and encouraging me to apply ED and see what happens!

BOSTON UNIVERSITY STUDENT

You may have heard from Neil that he got admitted into the University of Chicago.  This is a big accomplishment and it would not have been possible without your help. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our heart for your guidance and coaching during this process.

UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO PARENT

Dear Lisa,

We would like to thank you for the fantastic support to Ester during her application process. We could not imagine how requiring and hectic this time would be, both for her and for the rest of the family. You succeeded to make the process much more serene and very successful. She is so happy to be accepted at Barnard and so we are too. The studies seem to be really interesting and the fencing team is really good. Thank you for your invaluable support!

BARNARD PARENT

Thank you for everything you’ve done to help and improve me! Your suggestions and encouragement had lightened my path to my dream colleges. I feel so lucky to have you as my college counselor!

CBM STUDENT

I want you to be one of the first to know that I GOT ACCEPTED INTO UPENN!!!!! Thank you so much for all your help throughout the entire application process. I could not have achieved this without you. All the hours working on the Common App and all the essays paid off, and I owe that all to you.

UPENN STUDENT

I know that J wrote to you yesterday to share his great news and to thank you, but we wanted to reach out to you ourselves. He is SO happy and relieved and we are so proud of him.  He has worked so hard for so many years, always dreaming of going to a really great school.  Now it is a reality.  He had the brains, the drive, and the great interests to pursue, but your help the past two years, most significantly with his personal statement and essays, made the difference.  We cannot thank you enough. By the way, we I read the rest of his essays yesterday and have to say that our favorites were Penn, Princeton and William and Mary.  They were exceptional.

UPENN PARENT

Abby provided an amazing service not only for our son, but also for us as parents navigating through this process for the first time.  She was as patient with us as she was helpful to our son.  We have two more children to get into college, and we’re hoping Abby will be there for them as well.

NYU PARENT

Abby helped work with me in an individualized way and got to know me as a person, not just another applicant. She was extremely helpful and worked collaboratively with me, guiding me to the ideal school. I would recommend anyone applying to college to Abby, as she is kind, helpful and dedicated.

NYU STUDENT

My son’s situation was “out of the box” so we needed to work with people who not only understood that, but also had the expertise and experience to navigate us through the complexities and challenges of the college application process. Abby’s approach was the perfect balance of holding my son accountable for his role in the process, while ensuring that he felt supported throughout. We believe that approach made all the difference in terms of successfully targeting the schools that were right for him, while preparing him for the responsibilities of college life.

UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI PARENT

Colleen was extremely helpful in working with my daughter to “show” her story rather than to “tell” it. Both Lisa, and Colleen and other staff members worked tirelessly to ensure that my children’s applications were the best that they could be. Thank you very much!

MIT PARENT

Suzette has done amazing work with my son and it’s been fun to see the progression of his essays from first stab to final product with her guidance.

CBM PARENT

Dear Suzette and Lisa,
I’m pleased to be able to tell you that I was recently admitted into Harvard’s class of 2022.
Thank you so much for all your guidance. I could never have gotten through the application process without your support.

HARVARD STUDENT

Your brainstorming sessions on the common app essay to come up with a touching story is one of key reasons for success. The essay reviews and guidance were excellent.

DUKE PARENT

Dear Suzette,

We have never had the pleasure to neither meet nor talk to you, but Ester have mentioned your name so many times during the last months that we have the feeling that we almost know you.

Please, receive our appreciation for the fantastic support that Ester received from you! She is so happy to be accepted at Barnard and so we are too.

Beside the help to write her essays, we could see how your spontaneous support and enthusiasm was a very good help when she lacked confidence in herself. Sometimes you need others to believe more in you than yourself. Thank you so much for this as well!

BARNARD PARENT

Thank you so much!

Today was extremely helpful and interesting, and these attachments are great. I’m really enjoying looking through these case studies and getting in that mindset. I’ll definitely let you know if I need anything else.  Thanks again.

MBA CANDIDATE

I am happy to report that my son landed his dream job in June at Google.  He finished Johns Hopkins a semester early.  My daughter is also happy with her job at Condé Nast, which she got through her Lehigh connections. You did well for my kids and I am very grateful.

LEHIGH AND JOHNS HOPKINS PARENT

Hi Suzette,

Another THANK YOU for helping me with the essays for law schools!  I literally could not have done this without your help structuring my thoughts and pulling out the intriguing story.  I remember how overwhelmed I was during our first call!     I have been accepted by the 5 schools that I have heard back from so far: GW, BU, Vanderbilt, UCLA, and Michigan!  I am super excited and keep psyching myself out to make a decision…before remembering that I don’t have all the information yet from which to choose.  So now I am reading each welcome packet, weighing the scholarship offers, and planning my school visits.   Anyways, I wanted to check in to update you and say THANK YOU so much.  You were an integral part of this process!

UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN LAW SCHOOL STUDENT

Suzette!

I hope this email finds you well! I’ll be going to China for a year representing Princeton as a Schwarzman Scholar and then after that, it’s off to Yale Law. Thanks so much for your help along the process.

Hi Lisa and Suzette,

I wanted to share the good news. I’ll be a Rutgers dpt student come

next August!! Thank you both for all of your time, help, guidance, and support along the way. I couldn’t be more excited!  (Rutgers DPT student

Colleen was the best! She was so helpful working with both my children with their personal essays as well as several school specific essays. I have a son and a daughter who have very different writing styles and Colleen was able to pull out the best from each of them. She was very patient and provided a lot of feedback to them during the editing process. Colleen tirelessly read through revision after revision until she was satisfied with the final version. Both my children were accepted to their schools of choice. We are so happy for them and grateful to Colleen for helping them achieve their goal.
