A Great Tool to Compare Net Price Among Schools

Net price calculators were introduced in 2011 as a way for families to determine their estimated cost of college before they applied. In today’s New York Times, there is an article about a company called College Abacus that aims to compare costs across schools so families do not have to enter information multiple times. Here is a great tool to use https://collegecost.ed.gov/net-price.

So grab your tax return from last year and use it to determine your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) per school.  This will give you a good sense of whether or not a school is within your budget.
