The SAT’s and College Applicants – Don’t Sweat it?

With all of the press about the redesign of the SAT, it is important to remember that there are many students who simply do not do well on standardized tests (SAT, ACT, new SAT). Fortunately there are many colleges and universities that have test-optional admission policies. A recently released study shows that “there was virtually no difference in grades and graduation rates” between those who submitted scores and those who did not.

“Some are calling this study a potential game-changer that may prompt schools to evaluate whether there is value in requiring standardized tests.” (NPR)
